Work, Work, Work, Work, Work ~ We all know that lyrics from Rihanna's popular song, right? Work is a big part of our life, we go to work every day, 8 hours a day, five days a week, months after months, years after years. If you think about it, we spend almost one-third of our life working! That's a lot of time and energy, so you wouldn't want to waste it! Thus, it is essential that you choose the right place to work at.
You can be an entrepreneur, you can be an employee, you can be a freelancer, no matter what position or what job you do, the number one factor when choosing a job, a career or a place to work is passion. Yes, just good old love and passion for what you do.
"The only way to do great work is to love what you do." - Steve Jobs.
How can you expect yourself going to work every day and do something that you're not excited about? That you secretly despise? That makes you dread every morning when getting out of bed? It's simply not sustainable. Sooner or later you're gonna quit that company and look for another job that makes you happier.
Some people are stuck at the jobs they hate because they're afraid of being unemployed, afraid of quitting and wasting all their time at the current company, afraid of not being able to pay the bills and survive. So they keep on working, they settle, they tell themselves that it's okay, that it's not that bad, but they're never happy.
"A job that makes time pass by in an instant, that you rarely have to look at the clock and count down when you can take a lunch break or finish the shift."
I don't want that person to be you. I want you to work at somewhere that you love, a company that treats you well, with colleagues that support you, and you doing the things that you're passionate about, building something that you believe in. A job that makes time pass by in an instant, that you rarely have to look at the clock and count down when you can take a lunch break or finish the shift. A job that you don't mind the overtime, the extra work, the extended travelling, because they're all parts of something bigger, something that you believe in.
I want you to have a job not just to put bread on the table, but a career that gives you meaning and light up a burning fire and passion in you! A career that helps you learn and grow, a career that you simply just love!
A job that you don't mind the overtime, the extra work, the extended travelling, because they're all parts of something bigger, something that you believe in."
Follow your passion so you're in love with what you do and everything else will fall into place, be it money, reputation, or happiness.
