Hard Work Makes The Dream Work

There is no substitute for hard work. Never give up. Never stop believing. Never stop fighting.” - Hope Hicks

I work hard to be where I am today.

I work every. single. day

There are days that I feel exhausted and frustrated. There are days that I don't feel like getting out of bed. There are days when I feel like I'm a failure. There are days that I just want to give up.

It seems like there are always so much to do but not enough time to do them all.

And I bet you have those days too. Everyone does.

But what keeps me going? What keeps me moving forward?

My dreams. My passion for what I do. My love for the people I serve.

I know I'm making progress every day. And I'm proud of that. And I know that with each day passes, I get a bit closer to where I want to be.

And that's enough for me.

Working hard doesn’t have to be ‘hard’, if you truly love what you do and believe in the positive impact your work has on people’s lives.

I enjoy my work. I love working. I find that I feel the most satisfied and happy at the end of the day when I work hard during the day. And I believe that those who feel the most fulfilled at the end of their lives are those who have found their purpose, what they’re passionate about and work hard for it.

There’s no substitute for hard work

Hard work is challenging, uncomfortable and sometimes, requires sacrifices. It’s your choice to whether go to the bar with your friends or stay home and work on your business. It’s your choice to whether binge watch your favourite show in 1 night or to work extra hours at work. It’s your choice to whether spend the weekend relaxing and enjoying your free time with friends and family or to learn a new skill or practice harder at a craft.

There’re no right or wrong choices, you may go with different option depending on your situation at that specific time. But remember that hard work is the only way to the top. Hard work produces progress, and progress leads to achievements.

“Enjoy your sweat because hard work doesn’t guarantee success, but without it you don’t have a chance” - Alex Rodriguez

The Importance of Showing Up Every Day

Making progress is important. Sometimes it’s hard for us to realize how far we’ve come since we only focus on achievements and if we haven’t achieve what we wish to in the timeframe that we want, we’d feel discouraged and may want to give up.

However, making incremental progress is crucial to success. “Rome wasn’t built in a day”, success is the result of months and years of hard work. Sometimes we see people suddenly becoming successful and well-known and we call them an “overnight success”, but indeed, we don’t see how hard they work to get to the place where they can get the opportunity that helps them get to the next level.

“Success isn't always about greatness. It's about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come.” - Dwayne Johnson

Remember this:

It takes time for great things to happen

If you keep putting in the effort, it will eventually pay off.

Hang in there, your time is coming,

Believe in yourself, believe in your journey,

Because you're on the right path.
